Printmaking & Exploring in Open Studio!

Our Monday Camp students have been diving deep into the versatile world of printmaking! We’ve explored a variety of techniques, from the spontaneous beauty of water transfer and monoprints to the intricate textures of floral prints and the bold designs of foam relief. It has been incredible to watch these young artists learn how to manipulate ink and negative space to make their mark. To wrap up our journey, we are heading into our final week with a hands-on exploration of letterpress printing, giving students a chance to experience the tactile history and precision of the press!

In our Tuesday and Wednesday Open Studio Camps, the classroom has transformed into a vibrant hub of student-led discovery. Artists have enjoyed the freedom to rotate between stations, choosing the materials that inspire them most. From the tactile challenges of sculpture and painting to the bold textures of chalk and pastels, experimentation and free choice have truly reigned as students navigate their own unique creative processes.
