Camp Update

Oh the fun we have had with Printmaking & Sculpture!

At Monday’s Sculpture Camp, our artists have fully immersed themselves in the tactile world of 3D art. We kicked things off with a deep dive into the vibrant, towering forms of Ugo Rondinoni’s Seven Magic Mountains, inspiring campers to build their own colorful, gravity-defying structures using various wood pieces. The creativity continued to scale as students engineered intricate cardboard animals and molded expressive paper mâché masks, mastering new textures and techniques each day. It’s been a rewarding, fully hands-on journey, with every artist discovering the joy of bringing their imagination to life in three dimensions.

At Wednesday’s Printmaking Camp, our young artists have been busy making their mark! The studio has been a whirlwind of color as students mastered the art of monoprinting and foam printing, learning exactly how to handle professional printmaking tools to bring their visions to life. From experimenting with ink consistency to carving unique textures into their foam plates, our campers have embraced every step of the process. The resulting prints are as beautiful and vibrant as the creators themselves, showcasing a unique blend of technical skill and pure imagination.
